Meet our Founder, Maurtice Ivy

FOUNDER/CEO

A native Omahan and graduate of Omaha Central High School, Maurtice graduated from University of Nebraska Lincoln with a degree in Communication, and completed her Masters in Health, Physical Education and Recreation at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Currently, Maurtice is pursuing her doctorate degree in Educational Leadership at Doane University.

Maurtice has one of the six jerseys retired in the history of the University of Nebraska Lincoln (Husker Nation) basketball program. Maurtice had a 6-year professional career in the WBA and was a part of the Hoop-It-Up team that won four national championships. She has been inducted into 5 different Hall of Fames, Omaha Central High School Hall of Fame, Nebraska Black Sports Hall of Fame, Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame, Omaha Public School Hall of Fame and Omaha Sports Hall of Fame.

Maurtice has been coaching and mentoring student athletes for 30 years. “I have a passion for working with student athletes who are dedicated and focused on achieving their goals academically and athletically. My vision is that my knowledge, experiences, and expertise will inspire, motivate, and impact the lives of our youth to become ‘the game changers of youth sports’ for the next levels of their journey.”
